On Oct. 29, officers fielded an extensive amount of calls in connection with a severe storm. In many waterfront neighborhoods, tides exceeded normal limits causing flooding and damage. High winds resulted in falling trees leading to damaged property.
On Oct. 29 at 5:30 p.m. Officer Bruce Carver was dispatched to Wawa, 444 Route 9, for a subject causing a disturbance. The actor was ultimately arrested for an outstanding warrant issued by the Barnegat Township Municipal Court. He was transported to the Ocean County Correctional Facility in default of $1,000 bail.

On Oct. 30 at 9:34 p.m., the agency received a call in reference to an erratic driver. The vehicle was located on Bowsprit Drive and the operator was identified as a 29-year-old woman. The investigation led to her arrest for DWI. She was processed and later released after being charged with DWI and reckless driving.
On Oct. 31 at 12:27 a.m., Officers Anthony Ravallo and Dan Biel conducted a motor vehicle stop after a violation. The stop resulted in the arrest of the driver for an outstanding warrant. A 20-year-old man was processed and released for a Barnegat Township Municipal Court warrant after satisfying the $450 bail.

On Nov. 1 at 4:05 p.m., officers responded to Walmart in reference to a shoplifter. While there, it was determined that a 23-year-old woman concealed items valued at $205 and attempted to exit the store. While being placed under arrest, officers discovered that the woman was in possession of a hypodermic syringe. In addition, the woman was wanted by the Ocean County Superior Court for outstanding shoplifting charges. She was charged with shoplifting and possession of a hypodermic syringe prior to being transported to the Ocean County Correctional Facility.
On Nov. 2 at 6:51 p.m., officers responded to Gille Park in reference to smoke. Officers discovered that the garbage can inside the men’s bathroom was smoldering. The Lanoka Harbor Fire Department extinguished the fire.
