Linda’s Pizza In Lacey To Reopen As Pies On Nine South
Linda's Pizza will soon reopen as Pies on Nine South. The owners are planning to open the renovated restaurant the first weekend of October.
LACEY, NJ — The wait will soon be over. Linda’s Pizza in Forked River will reopen as Pies on Nine South the first weekend of October.
The pizzeria has been closed since March 2020 for renovations. Construction has moved along slowly with building supplies rising in price and becoming hard to acquire over the past year.
Meanwhile, the owners of Linda's were also running two other pizzerias at the onset of the coronavirus pandemic. A year and a half later, Ricky Digiovanna and Gennaro Guardascione are planning to open the renovated restaurant on Friday, Oct. 1.

"The inside is completely ready,” said Brandi Braden, who helps run the restaurant and is Digiovanna's fiancée. “We’ve just been taking our time with it. With both owners having pizzerias and being so busy during COVID, it was hard to get some supplies.”
The couple formerly owned Pies on Stiles in Linden and Pies on Nine in Beachwood, which they sold last year to Guardascione and his father.

The restaurant will have the same menu as Pies on Nine, including a mix of gourmet-style pizzas and new dessert pizzas.
When the pizzeria opens, there will be a salad on the menu named for Digiovanna's daughter and an entrée named after Guardascione’s son.
The new look also features a takeout window in front of the restaurant.
“They don’t even have to come inside. They can place the order over the phone and still pay in person or pay online, and we can just hand them their food,” Braden said.
The couple is looking forward to working in Lacey again, which Braden and Digiovanna call home with their 2-year-old daughter and son whose three months old.
“We both went to school in town. We know a lot of the teachers. Ricky knows a lot of the police officers,” Braden said. “It’s going to be much better to see familiar faces and support our own town.”
Pies on Nine South is located at 136 S. Main St. in the Forked River section of Lacey.
The pizzeria will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
