Man Tried to Defraud Lacey Pharmacy of RX Drugs, Cops Say
Warrant arrests, criminal mischief and other reports

A Toms River resident was arrested after he allegedly fraudulently attempted to obtain prescription drugs from a Lacey pharmacy, Chief of Police David Paprota said.
Zinovy Rapoport, 38, of Toms River was transported to Ocean County Jail April 3 after police said he attempted to obtain prescription drugs from the ShopRite pharmacy, Paprota said.
Rapoport allegedly called the store posing as a representative of a physician's
office and ordered a Vicodin prescription for a fictitious patient, Paprota said.

When Rapoport arrived at the pharmacy to pick up the prescription, he was confronted by Lacey police and arrested, Paprota said. The pharmacist had recognized that the prescription was fradulent and called the police.
Rapoport was charged with criminal attempt to obtain a controlled dangerous substance by fraud and attempt to obtain a prescription legend drug.

He was lodged in jail with bail set at $25,000.

Officer Evan Androcy arrested Steven Henchy, 40, of Forked River for a warrant issued by the Wall Township Municipal Court. Henchy was released after posting $325 bail.Â

Officer Andrew Slota responded to Walmart for a report of a shoplifting. It was reported that at approximately 3:35 a.m. a white male entered the store and removed a 39 inch Vizio LED television, valued at $368 then exited through an emergency exit door.Â

Officer Andrew Slota discovered damage to the ladies’ bathroom at Gille Park. During the daytime hours someone used red spray paint on the wall inside the bathroom. The damage was estimated at approximately $50.Â

An owner of a residence on the 700 block of Nautilus Boulevard in Forked River reported finding that the home had been entered during the prior weeks.
The homeowner reported that several appliances — including the washer, dryer, and stove — were removed. The total value of the appliances amounted to more than $1,000. The residence also had damage to the sheetrock and copper piping was removed from walls, totaling approximately $500.Â
This incident occurred while the house sat vacant following Superstorm Sandy

Officer Evan Androcy conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Route 9 and Liberty Way. The driver of the vehicle, Jaime Heffernan, 31, of Forked River was found to have a suspended driver’s license and an outstanding warrant issued by the Bass River Municipal Court. Heffernan’s vehicle was impounded, and she was released after posting $265 in bail.
