Man Found Dead At Forked River Game Farm Died Of Natural Causes

LACEY TOWNSHIP, NJ - An area man whose body was found in the woods in the Forked River Game Farm back in November died of natural causes, a spokesman for the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office said.

Autopsy results done on Eric J. Peirson, 64, found that he died of hypertensive cardiovascular disease, said spokeman Al Della Fave.

Peirson, 64, had been staying at a home in Forked River, but he actually lived on Liberty Avenue in Manahawkin, Lacey police have said.

A local hunter found his body on the night of Nov. 16, Sgt. Patrick Ganley has said.

"He was known to walk on the trails in the woods as part of his daily routine," he said.
