Meet Lacey's Hometown Heroes At Library

In honor of Patriot Day, children and families can meet their local police officers and learn how they keep Lacey safe.

LACEY, NJ — Children and families can meet their "hometown heroes" at the Ocean County Library Lacey Branch in honor of Patriot Day.

Residents are invited to meet with local police and learn how they protect the Lacey community at a free library event at 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 12.

During the hour-long program, officers of the Lacey Township Police Department will demonstrate equipment inside the vehicles which patrol township streets and highways, and gear that they use every day in their ongoing mission to keep residents safe.

The nationwide observance of Patriot Day will take place Monday, Sept. 11.
