Nolan Downing, a committed member of Troop 56, has earned the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout, the highest honor in the Boy Scouts of America. For his Eagle Scout project, Nolan transformed the parents' waiting area at Mill Pond School in Lacey Township, New Jersey, by constructing welcoming, handcrafted benches that enhance the space for families. This thoughtful project not only beautifies a cherished community hub but also reflects the spirit of service that defines Lacey Township, a vibrant community known for its strong sense of togetherness and pride in local youth achievements.
Nolan will be formally recognized for this remarkable milestone at an Eagle Scout Court of Honor ceremony on November 1st at the Forked River Presbyterian Church.
