A Forked River man was served drug charges at a Lacey home after the homeowner found a hypodermic needle.
Brian Hennessy, 24, was arrested and charged after police responded to a Whitcomb Road, Forked River home at approximately 12:12 p.m. on March 3.
Officers Noah Schaffer and Joseph Soto responded to the residence and met with the homeowner who reported finding a hypodermic needle in the room of their houseguest, Hennessy.

When the officers confronted Hennessy, he was found in possession of five white wax folds consistent with heroin, which he attempted destroy.
Hennessy was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of a hypodermic needle. After being processed he was sent to the Ocean County Jail with bail set at $5,000.

Capt. David Paprota provided the following information:Â
March 4
A resident of the 700 block of Clairmore Avenue in Lanoka Harbor reported that after returning home from being away for a week, he discovered someone had removed all of the copper water piping from under his residence.
The criminal mischief and theft occurred between Feb. 25 and March 2. Access to the crawl space was gained from the exterior of the residence. The combined theft and damage is estimated at $5,000.
March 2
At approximately 4:02 p.m. Police Officer Dimitrios Tsarnas responded to an Island View Drive, Forked River residence. An unknown person broke into the residence between Feb. 12 and March 2. This residence is currently under repair due to damage done from Hurricane Sandy.
Entry was gained by breaking through a wall within an exterior furnace room. The home was ransacked and the investigating officer is awaiting information from the homeowner as to what if anything was stolen.Â
March 2
At approximately 8:47 p.m. Officers Alan Abrecht and Robert Duffy arrested Lorraine H. Schuster, age 40, of Lanoka Harbor. She was arrested at her residence on a $500 Brick Township warrant.
According to Ocean County Jail's Inmate Information, Schuster was charged with careless driving.
March 1
At approximately 6:34 p.m. Officer Evan Androcy responded to a residence on Conifer Drive, Forked River. The resident reported that sometime between Feb. 22 and March 1, someone stole a 4-foot iron anchor from the front yard. The anchor is valued at $300 and weighs about 130 pounds.Â
Feb. 28
Shawn R. Piercy, 31, of Toms River was arrested by Officer Julie Barcalow at approximately 1:46 a.m. Barcalow conducted a motor vehicle stop on Piercy and found that he had a $500 warrant issued by the Lakehurst Municipal Court.
Piercy posted bail at the Lacey Township Police Department and was released.
