
A Lanoka Harbor man was arrested and charged with thousands in willful nonsupport.
Officer Evan Androcy arrested Steven Gonzalez, 42, of Lanoka Harbor on March 26 for a $71,107.14 warrant issued by the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department for willful nonsupport.
Gonzalez could not post bail and was transported to Ocean County Jail.

According to the Ocean County Jail’s inmate information, Gonzalez was previously charged with driving on the revoked list, drunk or drugged driving, purposely causing bodily harm to another, contempt of court, aggravated assault, resisting arrest, shoplifting and operating a motor vehicle during second subsequent DWI.

March 31
A resident of Whitcomb Road, Forked River, reported that his vehicle was damaged during the overnight hours between March 30 and March 31. The vehicle was parked in the road directly in front of the residence. The driver’s side of the vehicle was scratched from front to back with a sharp object.Â
March 30
Officer Adam Ewart stopped a vehicle at approximately 1:10 a.m. for failing to maintain its lane in the area of Lacey Road and Route 9. The driver, Jessica Houston, 35, of Forked River was arrested for DUI and her vehicle was impounded, police said.
Houston received summonses for DUI, Refusal to Submit to a Breath Test and Reckless Driving and Failure to Maintain Lane. She was processed and released.Â
March 27
Officer Andrew Slota arrested Lorraine Schuster, 40, of Lanoka Harbor at approximately 8:30 p.m. for DUI in the parking lot of the Lacey Mall, police said.
Schuster received summonses for DUI, Reckless Driving, Driving While Suspended, DUI with a Child in the Motor Vehicle and Unrestrained Child.
Schuster’s vehicle was impounded and she was processed and released.
Schuster was previously arrested by Lacey Police on a $500 Brick Township warrant.Â
March 27
Officer Darrell Nick arrested Robbieio Ewan, 23, of Waretown for the alleged theft of $340 in cash from ShopRite in Lanoka Harbor.
Ewan was an employee of ShopRite. He was processed and released.Â
March 26
A resident of Parker Avenue reported an attempted break-in of his vehicle. The resident reported that sometime between March 23 and March 26 someone attempted to break into his vehicle, as he noticed some minor damage on the driver’s side door. Entry was not made but there was damage to the door of the vehicle.
