This will be the fourth online auction that the shelter has organized during the pandemic. In previous years, the shelter's annual auction was held in an arena-sized venue and attracted as many as 800 people.

“We hoped to go back to our 'BIG one' that's been held every year for decades now in person, but with more restrictions coming down from the pandemic, it's not worth the risk,” the shelter announced on the auction website.
