The coastal storm is expected to significantly impact the shore. Here's what Lacey residents, especially those near the water, should know:

LACEY, NJ — Forecasters are warning of dangerous and significant coastal storm approaching the area, expected to have the strongest impact in Barnegat Bay and south.

Lacey officials put out an alert regarding the impending nor'easter, which is expected to slam the shore Oct. 12 and 13.

"Please pay attention to the weather forecast over the next several days and prepare accordingly," authorities said.

Strong winds could send outdoor items and decorations flying, so make sure to secure any belongings.

Residents on the water or in low-lying areas can park their cars at Clune Park, Gille Park or the former community center parking lot on Sunday and Monday.
