Registration Underway for Winter Recreation Programs
A program for toddlers and their parents as well as those interested in art are being offered

The Lacey Township Recreation Department is taking registration for its winter programs.
Jump Start
Description: Parents and their child will share in fun activities that prepare children for Kindergarten in a pre-school environment. Under the guidance of a certified elementary school teacher Bethann Barneman, the program focuses on good listening skills taught through music and storytelling, letter and number recognition, shapes, colors, phonics and cooperative learning. A snack will be provided.
When: Tuesdays and/or Thursdays from 10 to 11:30 a.m. beginning Jan. 15 (eight week program)
Where: Recreation Department
Cost: $65 per child
Art with Joszie: Learn, Explore and Grow into the World of Fine Art
Description: Under the instruction of professional artist Joszie, each class will highlight specific techniques such as textures, blending, mixing and more.
When: Thursday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. beginning Jan. 17 (10-week program)
Where: Art classroom in the Mill Pond School
Cost: $220 per person with an additional fee for the art kit if needed. The art kit can be purchased from the instructor or a material list can be provided.

Residents can register for the program by mail or at the Recreation Department located at 818 Lacey Road, directly behind the police department. The office is open Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
