LACEY, NJ — Thousands of dollars worth of merchandise was shoplifted, a credit card was stolen and used and more in the month of May.

That's according to the monthly Lacey police blotter, outlining the various incidents officers responded to throughout the month.

Nature: Theft
On April 25, 2025 Officer Zacco responded to TJ Maxx for a theft report. Officer Zacco met with the victim who reported that she misplaced her envelope containing cash while shopping at the store. On May 2, 2025 Officer Zacco completed his investigation and identified 34 year old, Brittany Cochran of Berkeley Township as the person who took the envelope. As a result Officer Zacco charged Brittany with Theft of Mislaid Property. Brittany was served a summons and released pending a future court appearance.

Nature: Shoplifting
On Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 10:18 hours, Officer Carver responded to Walmart, 580 North Main Street for a report of a shoplifter who left the store. Officer Carver met with Asset Protection who reported that the suspect stole $106.00 worth of merchandise and fled the store. Officer Carver was able to identify the suspect as 44 year old, Nicole Azurak of Toms River. As a result, Officer Carver charged Nicole with Shoplifting.

Nature: Shoplifting
On Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at 14:30 hours, Officer Tranz responded to Kohl’s for a report of a shoplifting that took place on May 6th. It was reported that two females entered the store and stole $2,916.00 worth of merchandise. Officer Tranz was able to identify the females as 32 year old, Brashawna Cisrow of Vineland and Fredshain Green of Bordentown. As a result, Officer Tranz charged Brashawna and Fredshain with Shoplifting.

Nature: DWI - CDS Possession
On Sunday, May 11, 2025, several Officers including Officer Triano responded to Deerhead Lake Park for a report of an unconscious male sitting in a vehicle. Officer Triano met with the driver, later identified as 50 year old, Joseph Caruso of Berkeley Township. Based on the investigation Joseph was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. Joseph was charged with DWI, Reckless Driving and Possession of CDS in a Vehicle. Additionally, Joseph was charged with Obstructing and Contempt. Joseph was transported to Ocean County Jail pending a future court appearance.

Nature: DWI
On Sunday, May 11, 2025, at 16:24 hours, Officer Julian responded to Beach Boulevard for a report of an unconscious female in a vehicle. Upon arrival, Officer Julian met with the driver, 21 year old, Marissa Valdez of Browns Mills. Marissa was displaying signs of alcohol impairment and was subsequently arrested. Marissa's vehicle was impounded pursuant to John's Law. Marissa was issued summonses for violations of DWI, Reckless Driving, and urinating in public. Marissa was released to a family member pending a future court appearance.

Nature: Aggravated Assault (Non-DV)
On Sunday, May 11, 2025, Officer Triano met with a female victim regarding an assault that took place in the early morning hours in the area if M Street. The victim reported being suddenly punched in the face by a male, later identified as, 21 year old, Terry Gabriel of Barnegat Township. Based on the investigation Officer Triano charged Terry with Aggravated Assault. Terry was served a summons and released pending a future court appearance.

Nature: Shoplifting
On Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at approximately 11:57 hours, Officer Nilon responded to Walmart for a report of a male shoplifter who stole $64 worth of merchandise. Upon arrival, contact was made with Asset Protection and a male subject later identified as 29 year old, Pedro Perez of Beachwood Township. As a result, Pedro was placed under arrest and charged with Shoplifting. Pedro was released pending a future court appearance.

Nature: Shoplifting
On Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at 01:05 hours Officer Tamburro and Officer Copes responded to Wawa, 800 Lacey Road for a report of a male shoplifter. Upon arrival Officers met with employees who directed them to the suspect, 44 year old, Daniel Clappsy, of Bayville. The investigation revealed that Daniel stole various food items valued at approximately $30. Daniel was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting. Daniel was transported to Ocean County Jail pending a future court appearance.

Nature: Shoplifting
On Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at 14:00 hours Officer Triano responded to Kohl’s, 304 North Main Street for a report of a theft. Officer Triano met with Asset Protection who reported that a male and female stole approximately $1800.00 worth of merchandise and fled the store. Officer Triano was able to identify the suspects as 28 year old, Brittany Remington and 37 year old, Christopher Jones both of Manchester Township. As a result, Officer Triano charged Brittany and Christopher with shoplifting.

Nature: Fraud / Theft
On Thursday, May 15, 2025 at 17:30 hours Officer Spina met with a female victim who reported that her wallet was stolen and was now receiving fraud alerts from her bank. Officer Spina was able to identify the suspect as 42 year old, Kristin Clemmensen of Forked River. Officer Spina learned that Kristin used the victim’s credit card to make purchases and cash the checks. As a result, Kristin was charged with Credit Card Fraud, Impersonation, Uttering, Forgery, and Theft of Services. Kristin was placed under arrest and lodged in Ocean County Jail pending a future court appearance.

Nature: Shoplifting
On Friday, May 16th, 2025, at 10:44 hours, Officers Ricciardella and Officer Brown responded to Walmart for a report of an adult male shoplifter in custody. Upon arrival, the officers met with Asset Protection Associates, who indicated that Marcin Moralewski, age 48, of Toms River, concealed $266.78 worth of merchandise before attempting to leave the store. In addition, a $2,000 warrant out of Ocean Gate was found for Marcin's arrest. Marcin was arrested, charged with shoplifting, and transported to Ocean County Jail pending a future court appearance.

Nature: DWI
On Monday, May 19, 2025 at 22:40 hours, several Officers including Officer Lepeshko responded to Pine Street for a report of a three car motor vehicle accident. Officers arrived on scene and met with the driver, 29 year old, Johnny Noto of Forked River. The investigation revealed that Johnny was driving when he struck two parked vehicles causing his vehicle to overturn. As a result, Johnny was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. Johnny was charged with DWI, Reckless Driving, Failure to Maintain Lane, Failure to Wear Seatbelt and Refusal. Johnny was released to a family member in accordance with John’s Law.

Nature: Hindering
On Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at 1304 hours, Officer Lepeshko responded to the area of Lacey Road and Lake Barnegat Drive for a report of an erratic driver that was unable to maintain their lane. Contact was ultimately made with 39 year old, Jodilynne Lamberti of Forked River. Jodilynne provided false information at the scene to prevent officers from learning that she had a suspended driver’s license. Jodilynne was ultimately issued a complaint for hindering as well as being issued several motor vehicle summonses.

Nature: Disorderly Conduct
On Sunday, May 25, 2025 at 20:03 hours, several Officers including Officer Swain responded to Shoprite for a report of a male banging on car doors as they drove by. Officers arrived on scene and met with 41 year old, Joshua Casper of Forked River. Joshua was issued a complaint for disorderly conduct and released on scene.

Nature: Warrant Arrest
On Tuesday, May 27, 2025 Officer Biel and Officer Julian responded to the Lacey Inn to serve a warrant to 34 year old, Mollie Schwimmer-Reidy. Upon arrival Officers located Mollie and placed her under arrest. Mollie posted bail and was released pending a future court appearance.

Nature: Eluding
On Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at 04:48 hours, Officer Tirella was conducting a property check of Kohl’s when he observed a male, later identified as 29 year old, Raymond Boertman of Ocean Gate. Officer Tirella made contact with Raymond who subsequently fled in his vehicle. It was discovered that Raymond had warrants for his arrest. As a result Officer Tirella charged Raymond with eluding and obstruction.

Nature: DWI
On Thursday, May 29, 2025 at 23:21 hours Officer Labbate conducted a motor vehicle stop on a Hyundai Sonata for failure to maintain lane. Officer Labbate met with the driver, 59 year old, Douglas Trolian of Forked River, who displayed signs of alcohol impairment. Based on the investigation Douglas was placed under arrest and charged with DWI, Reckless Driving, and Failure to Maintain Lane. Douglas was released to a family member pending a future court appearance.

Nature: DWI
On Thursday, May 29, 2025 at 22:39 hours Officer Spina conducted a motor vehicle stop on a Toyota Tacoma for speeding. Officer Spina met with the driver, 35 year old, Dylan Dipietrantonio of Stafford, who displayed signs of alcohol impairment. Based on the investigation Officer Spina placed Dylan under arrest for driving while intoxicated. Dylan was charged with DWI, Reckless Driving, and Speeding. Dylan was released to a family member pending a future court appearance.
