Speedball Tournament For Lacey Middle Schoolers Coming Up Friday
Lacey police will serve as referees, coaches and assistants at the free event.

LACEY TOWNSHIP, NJ - The Lacey Township Recreation Department will hold a free speedball tournament for Lacey Township seventh and eighth graders at the Lacey Middle School from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday.
The Lacey Township Recreation Department and the Lacey Municipal Alliance have arranged for refreshments and giveaways at the event, which has a check-in time of 6 p.m.
The Lacey Municipal Police Foundation has purchased team T-shirts for all participants. The team T-shirts have been purchased in varying colors, so each team will have their own color.

The speedball registration forms are available at the Middle School or the Lacey Township Recreation Department. The forms can include an individual student's name, a few names, or may list all of the names comprising a full team. Students may be grouped into full teams as needed on the night of the event.
Lacey Township police officers have volunteered for the event and will serve as coaches, referees, and assistants.

"The event is a wonderful opportunity for students to interact with police officers in a positive manner," Police Chief Michael C. DiBella said.
