State Conducting Prescribed Burning In Lacey And Other Areas

Lacey's prescribed burning will take place at the Forked River Game Farm, state says

LACEY TOWNSHIP, NJ - Lacey residents, if you smell or see smoke today, it could just be the state Forest Fire Service conducting some controlled burning at the Forked River Game Farm

The Game Farm's 71 acres are slated for the burning, according to the state Forest Fire Service's Facebook page.

Other areas also on the schedule include 95 acres in Wharton State Forest near Route 542 in Washinton Township in Burlington County and 12 acres in the Winslow Farms Conversancy in Winslow Township.

The prescribed burning schedule is dependent on the weather and can change. if you're not certain about the source of smoke or fire, call 911 or 877-WARN-DEP.
