State Trooper Rescues Baby From Locked Hot Car At Forked River Rest Area

Trooper Joseph Falco broke the car window and removed the baby from inside.

LACEY TOWNSHIP, NJ - A New Jersey State Trooper rescued an 18-month baby from a hot locked car after she was accidentally locked in at the Forked River Service Area on the Garden State Parkway on Friday.

Trooper Joseph Falco broke the car window and was able to safely remove the baby from the car. The baby's legal guardian had accidentally locked the car with the keys inside, according to the State Police Facebook page.

When she realized the car was locked, the woman stayed by the car at the infant's side and sent her son inside the ask the staff to dial 911.

Falco arrived on the scene within minutes, broke the window and unlocked the car.

The baby was not injured and did not require any medical attention, according to the post.
