4 Injured As Small Plane Crashes At Lakewood Airport

LAKEWOOD, NJ — Four people have been injured in a plane crash at Lakewood Municipal Airport on Thursday afternoon, Lakewood police confirmed.

Lakewood police received a call just before 4 p.m. Thursday reporting the crash, Capt. Gregory Staffordsmith said.

Emergency responders found a small plane in the wood line with four injured passengers, Staffordsmith said.

The extent of their injuries were not known, he said.

The airport on Cedar Bridge Road in Lakewood is shut down, authorities said.
