LAKEWOOD, NJ — This Christmas, travel back in time to 1963, when the holidays were enjoyed by drinking egg cream and listening to the soda shop jukebox.

“3 Egg Creams - A Rhapsody in the Rain,” a one-man show set in the Bronx about “first love, second chances, and the courage to take them,” is coming to Lakewood’s famed Strand Theatre on Dec. 17.

The show, which has been described as “A Bronx Tale” meets “A Wonderful Life,” is an off-Broadway show that started in Hammonton, New Jersey in 2017, and migrated to the Cutting Room nightclub and theater in New York City. It is inspired by the music of Lou Christie, and scored by some of his most famous hits, like “Rhapsody in the Rain,” “Lightning Strikes,” and “The Gypsy Cried.”
