Crash Snarls Parkway Traffic In Ocean County; No Injuries, Police Say

New Jersey State Police said the crash closed two lanes to drivers.

LAKEWOOD, NJ — A crash that snarled traffic during the morning commute on the Garden State Parkway on Monday did not result in any injuries, state police said.

The crash at milepost 90.2 in Lakewood was reported at 5:52 a.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. It forced the closure of two lanes, slowing traffic through the area as far south as Toms River and Berkeley Township, authorities said

The preliminary investigation found a Hyundai car and a Ford pickup truck collided as they both were headed north, Lebron said.

The crash remains under investigation and no additional information was available, he said.
