Downed Wires, Pole Closes Rt. 88 In Both Directions: DOT

LAKEWOOD, NJ - Downed wires and a downed pole on Route 88 in Lakewood has prompted commuting delays in the area Wednesday morning, authorities said.

As of 2:51 a.m., there’s a downed pole and downed wires on Route 88 in both directions west of CR 623.New Hampshire Avenue in Lakewood Township, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation.

All lanes are currently closed, the agency said.
