LAKEWOOD, NJ — Authorities have confirmed the identities of the people involved in Saturday's crash at New Hampshire Avenue and Cedar Bridge Avenue that killed three and left two hospitalized.

Jayla Ortiz, 23, of Lakewood, Ceasia Jefferson, 24, of Neptune Township, and a 17-year-old male of Lanoka Harbor were killed, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office said. While the prosecutor's office did not release the 17-year-old's name, he has been publicly identified by his family as Dashaun Witter.

Mylani Theibault, 18, of Lakewood, and Alexis Holloway, 23, of Berkeley Township, remain hospitalized at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said.

Billhimer said Ortiz was driving the 2009 Honda Accord east on Cedar Bridge and failed to stop at the red traffic signal at New Hampshire Avenue, hitting Draheim's truck.

Theibault was the front-seat passenger, and Holloway, Jefferson and Witter were in the back seat, Billhimer said.

Ortiz and Jefferson were pronounced dead at the scene, while Witter died at the hospital, he said.

Theibault is currently listed in stable condition, Billhimer said, and Holloway is listed in critical condition.

The crash remains under investigation by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit-Vehicular Homicide Squad and Lakewood Township Police Department. Billhimer said the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit assisted in the investigation.
