4-Month-Old Boy Found In Minivan In Lakewood: Prosecutor
The circumstances of the baby's death and how he came to be in distress remain under investigation, the prosecutor's office said.
LAKEWOOD, NJ — Authorities are continuing to investigate the death of a 4-month-old infant who was found in a minivan in Lakewood on Tuesday, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office said Wednesday.
Lakewood police were called to Fifth Street about 1:45 p.m. Tuesday for a report of an infant in distress in a motor vehicle, Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said.
Hatzolah Medical Services crews were at the scene trying to render lifesaving aid to the baby, a 4-month-old boy when officers arrived, Billhimer said.

The baby was taken to Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus in Lakewood, where he was pronounced dead, the prosecutor said.
The prosecutor's office did not provide any additional details except to say the baby's death is under investigation by the prosecutor's office Major Crime Unit, Lakewood police and the Ocean County Sheriff's Office Crime Scene Investigation unit.
