PTSD Survivor Thom Mason (Lakewood) Honored at Jersey Shore Blue Claws Game

Thom Mason, a resident of Lakewood who has been battling PTSD was honored as the RWJBarnabas Health Amazing Save on Friday, July 22nd at the Jersey Shore Blue Claws game, throwing out the ceremonial first pitch at ShoreTown Ballpark.
After suffering through many traumatic episodes throughout his life, the clinical outpatient team at the RWJBarnabas Health Behavioral Health Center, a mental health facility in Toms River, accurately diagnosed his condition and developed a comprehensive treatment plan for his behavioral health challenges.
The team of therapists and a trauma psychiatrist have been working closely with Thom, helping him establish his "wellness toolbox" which includes continued therapy, eating healthy and meditation, all designed to support healthy living. Jennifer Scaltrito, Assistant Vice President at the RWJBarnabas Health Behavioral Health Center joined Thom for his special experience.
