Lakewood Schools Closed Ahead Of Winter Storm

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning and is predicting at least 4 inches of snow for most of Ocean County.

LAKEWOOD, NJ — The Lakewood School District will be closed Monday ahead of a winter storm that is predicted to bring at least 4 inches of snow to Ocean County, the district announced.

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for five counties, including Ocean, from 4 a.m. through 4 p.m. Monday, warning that the storm could bring 4 to 6 inches and possibly more to the southeastern part of New Jersey.

Gov. Phil Murphy declared a state of emergency for those counties ahead of the storm, and urged people to be careful.
