30 Acres Burning In Wildfire Near Lakewood Country Club

LAKEWOOD, NJ — A wildfire has burned 30 acres and was threatening six buildings near the Lakewood Country Club in Lakewood Monday evening, according to the New Jersey Forest Fire Service.

The fire, which was zero percent contained, has prompted the closure of Clearstream Road between Brewers Bridge and Hope Chapel Road, authorities said. It also was causing delays on West County Line Road, authorities said.

The threatened structures were on Seminole Drive, authorities said.

Pine Park has been closed to activities, authorities said.

The forest fire service has a helicopter at the scene for observation and has bulldozers and fire trucks working on containment, the service said.
