1 Killed, 3 Injured In Mercer County Street Shooting: Prosecutor

The four people, including a teen girl, were standing on a street when shots were fired at them from a vehicle, authorities said.

MERCER COUNTY, NJ - One person was killed and three others injured in a shooting that took place in Trenton on Thursday night, Mercer County Prosecutor Janetta D. Marbrey said.

Around 8:52 p.m. on Thursday, Trenton police were dispatched to the 100 block of Passiac Street on a shooting in progress.

On arrival, police found three adult males and a 16-year-old female suffering from gunshot wounds. All were taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, where Karan Hunter, 24, was pronounced dead a short time later, Marbrey said.

According to preliminary investigation, the four people were standing outside on Passaic Street when shots were fired at them from a vehicle that pulled up, stopped, then fled the scene, Marbrey said.

No arrests have been made. The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and the Trenton Police Department are investigating.
