$35k Jeep Reported Stolen from Lawrence, Recovered in Newark

An investigation continues.

A Roxboro Road resident reported their Jeep, valued at $35,000, stolen last week and police say the vehicle was later recovered in Newark. 

The alleged theft took place sometime between 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 3 and 7:30 a.m. the next morning, police said. The car was found in Newark on Wednesday night, according to Lawrence Township Police.

The four-door, 2013 white Jeep was unlocked parked in the driveway with the keys under the floor mat, when it was allegedly stolen overnight.

The suspect(s) backed into a Ford pickup truck that was also in the driveway during the incident, leaving white transfer paint, according to police.
