9th Annual Pumpkin Carve Is Back In Mercer Co. For 2023

This year's edition will be an all-walk-around event, after years of hosting it as a drive-thru.

MERCER COUNTY, NJ – With Fall officially here and Hallowwen a few weeks away, Mercer County residents have an exciting event to look forward to. The Hopewell Valley Arts Council is brining back the Amazing Pumpkin Carve for 2023. This years’s event promises to be back bigger and better.

In its ninth year, this year the Carve will be like an old-time festival with expanded activities and outrageously carved giant pumpkins.

Visitors can wander through a captivating illuminated walk of creative Halloween fun from Oct. 11 to Oct. 15 at Woolsey Park, Titusville.

Grinning skeletons, giant crows, and other Halloween inspired creations will come to life through the skilful carving of local celebrated artists. Attendees can marvel at the intricate handiwork that transforms more than 30 massive 150+ pound pumpkins into whimsical masterpieces artistically illuminated.

The event aslo offers an array of activities for kids of all ages including music performances, a hay bale playground, face painting, cornhole and games, photo-ops, and other delightful surprises around every corner.

“This year's event is back as an all-walk-around event. Although the drive-thru was a fun solution to social distancing, these amazing works of art really shine when you can see them up close,” Carol Lipson, HV Arts Council executive director said. "Plus, you can take as much time as you'd like!”

This event is also the primary fundraiser for the Hopewell Valley Arts Council. Ticket proceeds benefit artist-carvers’ honoraria and fund other Hopewell Valley arts-related programs.

The Amazing Pumpkin Carve is open for five days only, Oct. 11 to Oct. 15 at Woolsey Park, 221 Washington Crossing-Pennington Road, Titusville, NJ.

  • Wednesday, Oct 11: 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.
  • Thursday, Oct. 12: 5 p.m.- 9 p.m.
  • Friday, Oct. 13: 5 p.m. - 9 p.m.
  • Saturday, Oct. 14: 3 p.m. - 9 p.m.
  • Sunday, Oct. 15: 3 p.m.- 7 p.m.
