Events at LHS Will Celebrate Black History Month

The events on Feb. 7, 21 and 28 - collectively known as "Colour Conference" - will be hosted by Threads, a student-led organization at Lawrence High School

During the month of February, Threads, a student-led organization at Lawrence High School, will host “Colour Conference,” a series of events celebrating Black History Month.

The events are as follows:

  • Thursday, Feb. 7: “The Struggle to Create: A Civil Rights Movie”
  • Thursday, Feb. 21: Café Ti Open Mic Night
  • Thursday, Feb. 28: “Footprints from the Village to the White House: An LHS Production”

All events are free and take place at Lawrence High School beginning at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:45 p.m.
