Free Walking Tour of D&R Canal in Trenton Sunday
The walk will explore the part of the canal feeder between Cadwalader Park and the junction with the main canal at Old Rose Street in Trenton.

The Delaware & Raritan Canal Watch will hold a free walking tour of the feeder in Trenton on Sunday, Nov. 20.
The walk will explore the part of the canal feeder between Cadwalader Park and the junction with the main canal at Old Rose Street.Â
"This section of the canal is divided between a tree-lined wooded section and an urban landscape. Noted features include two historic canal houses, the site of a vast turning basin, and the junction with the main canal at the Trenton Freeway," according to a Canal Watch news release.

Canal Watch board member Bob Barth will explain the many historical sites and features of this section of the canal to participants during the walk.Â
Walk participants should meet at 10 a.m. in front of the Ellarslie mansion (The Trenton City Museum) located in Cadwalader Park. Carpools will be arranged to allow transportation back to the park.
