Health Dept. Announces August Programs for Seniors
The programs will take place at the Lawrence Township Senior Center.
Jennie Cowell, a certified speech pathologist from University Medical Center Princeton at Plainsboro, will present a lecture entitled “Gee! That’s Hard to Swallow” on Wednesday, Aug. 1, at the at 30 Darrah Lane East.
The lecture, which begins at 11 a.m., is free to township residents and is sponsored by the Lawrence Township Health Department.

From 1 to 2 p.m. the following Wednesday, Aug. 8, a “Medication Roundup” will be hosted at the Senior Center by Joan Mitchell, a registered nurse from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton.
Appointments are needed for the “Medication Roundup” and participants are advised to bring their medications to the screening.

Appointments can be made in person at the senior center.
