Independence Day Fireworks In Lawrence Township On Friday

Independence Day celebrations, including fireworks will take place at Rider University.

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ — Lawrence Township will celebrate July 4 with fireworks at Rider University on Friday, June 30.

Although fireworks are the biggest attraction, there will be more for families to enjoy. There will be a food truck feast, foot-tapping live music and a show from the Bubble Guy.

And if you're wondering why the fireworks have been scheduled so early, the township has an explanation.

"Let us assure you, we're not just early birds, we're firework connoisseurs who like to stay ahead of the game! Who says you can't kick off the Independence Day celebrations just four days early?" the township said.

Rain date has been set for July 1.

Here's the schedule:

  • Food Trucks 6 p.m.
  • Bubble Guy Show: 7 p.m. -7:30 p.m.
  • Music From Blast from the Past: 7:30 p.m.
  • Fireworks: 9:30 p.m.

There will be glowsticks for sale to celebrate the township's fireworks fund.

So, bring your blankets and comfy chairs for a night of fun. Admission is free.
