July 4 Celebration Rescheduled In Lawrence Due To Thunderstorm In Forecast

The Independence Day celebration, initially planned for Tuesday, will now be held on Wednesday.

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ — The Lawrence Township Independence Day Fireworks has been rescheduled to Wednesday, due to rain in the forecast, officials said Monday.

According to the National Weather Service, there are showers and thunderstorms in the forecast for Tuesday. A floodwatch and severe thunderstorm watch have been issued the the township as well.

The Independence Day celebration, initially planned for Tuesday, will now be held on Wednesday from 6 p.m. onwards at Rider University. Fireworks are scheduled to begin at 9:30 p.m.
