Lawrence Boy Scouts to Collect Food for the Needy

The one-day food drive will take place Sunday, Nov. 13, at Pennington Quality Market on Route 31.

Editor's Note: The following is a news release issued by Boy Scout Troop 28 of Lawrence Township.

With demand at record levels and the holiday season upon us, boys from Boy Scout Troop 28 of Lawrence will be on hand Sunday, Nov. 13, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., to collect donations of non-perishable foodstuffs from generous patrons of Pennington Quality Markets, located on Route 31, Pennington.

As demand outpaces supply, community organizations continue to report shortages at their food pantries, and Troop 28 encourages those who can, to donate an item or more to the troop’s annual food drive effort.
