Lawrence High Students Invited to Mini Medical School

The course from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton will focus on the human body and be taught on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in September and October.

Attention Lawrence High School students! Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton is offering Mini-Medical School II for students and community members.

The focus of the Fall 2012 Semester is the human body and will be taught by some of the leading physicians in this region. This is a program that RWJ-H offers through its Community Education Department and is open to anyone interested in attending.

The Science & Technology Career Academy is excited to make LHS students aware of this unique community program!

Students interested in attending the program must register in advance to participate using the registration link. Lawrence High School’s Science & Technology Career Academy Teacher Leader, Mr. Matt Davis, will coordinate registration with RWJ Hamilton for LHS students.

There is a registration fee ($100.00) for the program, which must be paid by the student. RWJ has scholarship opportunities available for select recipients that will be determined by economic need. Transportation is not provided. Checks should be made payable to: RWJ Hamilton. Submit checks to Ms. Stanger in the LHS Guidance Office.

All registrations and checks must be submitted by Sept. 3, as there are space limitations. Registration link can be found here.

 

Mini-Medical School – Fall 2012 Semester

  • Each Tuesday beginning Sept. 4 through Oct. 30, 2012
  • Time: 6 to 8 p.m.
  • Location: RWJ Hamilton Center for Health & Wellness

Taught by RWJ Hamilton physicians, this eight-week course features interactive lectures and includes segments on abnormal body conditions. Each student will receive a diploma at a graduation ceremony. Fee: $100, includes text book.
