Lawrence Public Schools To Host Voter Registration Drive
Students and staff will help community members with the voter registration process and provide information on upcoming races.
LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – The upcoming general election is just a few months away. To encourage civic participation and ensure that all eligible residents are prepared to vote, Lawrence High School will host a Community Voter Registration Drive.
The event will take place on Sept. 28, at Lawrence High School, and is open to all community members.
The voter registration drive is a bipartisan, school-led initiative aimed at promoting the importance of voting and making it easier for community members to register.

Students, staff, and representatives from community organizations like the League of Women Voters, Board of Elections, NAACP, Lawrence Neighbors, and others will be on-site to assist attendees with the process, answer any questions, and provide information on upcoming local, state, and national elections.
Additionally, the event will also offer information on absentee and early voting options, voter ID requirements, and polling locations.

Participants will be able to register to vote, update their voter information, or learn more about how they can become active in the electoral process.
"We believe that every voice matters, and by helping our community members register to vote, we're taking an important step towards ensuring that everyone can participate in our democracy," Jametta Clarke, a social studies educator at Lawrence High School, and chair of the event, said in a statement.
The event is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring a valid ID and proof of residency, as it may be required to complete the registration process.
The event will also include food trucks and activities for youth and their families.
