Lawrence Township Offers ‘Safe Sitter’ Course
The four-day course, to be held in November, will teach students how to handle emergencies when caring for young children.
A “Safe Sitter” course designed to teach safe babysitting skills to adolescents 11 years old and older will be offered in November by the Lawrence Township Recreation Department.
The program teaches students how to handle emergencies when caring for young children. Instruction includes dealing with medical emergencies such as rescue breathing and care of a choking child.
Other areas include accident prevention, how to call for emergency assistance, basic childcare skills and how to entertain children and keep them safe.

To complete the course satisfactorily, participants must attend all four classes in their entirety.
Class size is limited to 12 students and there is a $40 fee for the course. For additional information, call (609) 844-7067.

The classes will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Nov. 17, 18, 21 and 22.
