LHS Student Named Semifinalist in the National Achievement Scholarship Program

Lawrence High School is pleased to announce that Abel McDaniels has been named a semifinalist in the 2012 National Achievement Scholarship Program. Based on performance on the 2010 PSAT, 1600 black American students were designated semifinalists.
These scholastically talented young men and women now have an opportunity to continue in the competition for approximately 800 achievement scholarship awards worth more than $2.4 million to be offered next spring and an opportunity to attain Finalist standing.

LHS Sophomore Academy Hosts Career Day
The Lawrence High School Sophomore Academy is hosting Career Day on Nov. 22, 2011, for students in Grade 10. There will be three panels of speakers, representing each of the following career clusters:
- Humanities and Arts
- Science, Engineering and Health
- Business and International Studies
