Memorial Service to be Held Friday for John R. Pawar

The 43-year-old Lawrence Township resident and Lawrence Hamnett soccer coach died last week.

A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. tomorrow, Friday, Oct. 21, for John Robert Pawar, a 43-year-old Lawrence Township resident who died Oct. 13 at Morristown Memorial Hospital in Morristown.

The memorial service will be held at at 2688 Main St. (Route 206 or Lawrence Road).

Pawar was born is Cleveland, Ohio, and grew up in Roxbury, N.J., before moving to New Providence, N.J. In 2001 he moved to Lawrence.

He was a graduate of Hofstra University. He was an all-state soccer player for Roxbury High School, and also played soccer for Hofstra. He was a coach for the Lawrence Hamnett soccer league.

He was owner and president of JCDA Consulting, a pharmaceutical marketing company. Founded in 2002, the company was named after Pawar’s children, who were described as "the love of his life."

He is survived by his three sons, Justin, Connor and Dylan, and daughter, Anna; his parents, Rajaram and Joanne Pawar of Roxbury; two brothers, Roger Pawar and his wife Lesley of Bentleyville, Ohio, and Jeff Pawar and his wife Nancy of Lawrence; six nieces and nephews, Austin, Scarlett, Lily, Nicolette, Christian, and Giulianna; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins in the United States and India. 

A funeral Mass was held at The Church of Saint Ann in Lawrence on Oct. 18. Interment followed at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hamilton.
