Mercer Co. Drug Bust Nets $30K in Narcotics, Gun: Prosecutor

Okeeno and Alecia Fagan face narcotics and weapons charges after authorities found cocaine, meth, and a gun at their home.

MERCER COUNTY, NJ — Three people were taken into custody and $30,000 worth of narcotics was seized earlier this week after a two-month investigation into the distribution of cocaine in Trenton, Mercer County Prosecutor Janetta D. Marbrey said Thursday.

Okeeno Fagan, 36, was arrested on wednesday, as a result of the investigation conducted by the members of the Mercer County Narcotics Task Force, with assistance from the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office, the Mercer County Tactical Response Team, the Ewing, Hamilton and Trenton police, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the FBI – New Jersey Division.

Around 6 a.m. on Wednesday, detectives executed a search warrant at Fagan’s Taylor Street home in Trenton.

Fagan was taken into custody without incident along with his wife, Alecia Fagan, 34, and Anevia Boswell, 31.

During a search of the premises, detectives found approximately 200 grams of suspected cocaine, around 100 grams of methamphetamine, a Canik TP9 handgun with an extended-capacity magazine, and $1,181 in cash in the upstairs front bedroom.

Additionally, cocaine, packaging material, and a digital scale were located in the kitchen, and assorted drug paraphernalia were located in the basement.

Both Fagans were charged with first-degree narcotic and weapons offenses. The prosecutor’s office has filed motions to detain them pending trial.

Broswell was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and released pending future court appearances.

According to Prosecutor Marbrey, the approximate street value of the cocaine is $20,000, and the methamphetamine is $10,000.
