Mercer Man Surrenders After Shooting In PA Strip Club: Police

MERCER COUNTY, NJ —AMercer man wanted for a shooting at a gentlemen’s club early Thursday is now in custody, Pennsylvania authorities said.

Pedro E. Rodriguez of Trenton surrendered to authorities Thursday afternoon. He was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Corryn L. Kronnagel and was sent to Bucks County Correctional Facility under $5 million bail.

In addition to attempted homicide, Rodriguez is charged with two counts each of aggravated assault and simple assault, one count each of discharging a firearm into an occupied structure and possession of an instrument of crime, and 17 counts of recklessly endangering another person.

The shooting happened at a Morrisville gentlemen’s club early Thursday.

At 1:14 a.m. Thursday, Morrisville Police were sent to The Border Gentlemen’s Club, 440 S. Pennsylvania Ave., for a reported shooting.

Police found a 28-year-old victim who had been shot in the back of the head, left thigh, and under both armpits. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Detectives learned that an altercation occurred at the doorway of the establishment.
The victim was an innocent bystander who attempted to assist the staff when he was shot. He did not know the shooter. At the time of the incident, 17 patrons/employees were inside the establishment.

Rodriguez and another man fled after the shooting in a Lexus SUV heading north on Route 1 into Trenton.

An arrest warrant was later filed for Rodriguez, 27, charging him with attempted homicide and related charges, police said.

Detectives with the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office and the Morrisville Borough Police Department are investigating.
