Mercer Woman Abused Infant In Social Media Video, Police Say
Police said several people contacted them to report the incident. The video of the abuse was circulating on social media.

MERCER COUNTY, NJ – A Mercer County woman was arrested and charged after video of her assaulting an 8-week-old infant surfaced online, Trenton Police said.
On Wednesday, Trenton Police Department was made aware of a disturbing video being shared on social media.
In the video a woman was seen covering a child's face, possibly blocking the infant's airway, speaking in vulgar, derogatory language, and pushing the infant's head, according to police.

Several people contacted the Trenton Police regarding this incident, authorities said.
The woman in the video was identified as Vivian M. Harrell, 37, of Trenton.

An investigation was conducted by Trenton Police Department Special Victims Unit Detective Sh'Quanah Lopez and a detective from the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit.
Harrell was charged with second-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child and second-degree Aggravated Assault.
The Division of Child Protection and Permanency was contacted and is assisting, authorities said.
Police did not disclose the woman’s relationship with the child.
