Updated: Pedestrian Struck by Car on Brunswick Pike
The male pedestrian was rushed by ambulance to the regional trauma center in Trenton. The accident is under investigation by Lawrence Township police and the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office.
Update, 4 p.m. July 26:
Lawrence Township police have identified the pedestrian as Antonio Ramirez, 29, of Putnam Avenue in Lawrence.

Update, 12 p.m. July 26:
The pedestrian who was struck by a car on Brunswick Pike late Wednesday night is currently listed in stable condition at Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, according to Lawrence Township police Lt. Mark Ubry.

The man’s name is being withheld at this time because police have not yet been able to locate his family, Ubry said.
He identified the driver of the car as Bryan Mills, 25, of Sayreville.
The circumstances of the accident remain under investigation by township police and the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office, and witnesses are asked to call (609) 896-1111.

A pedestrian was badly injured when he was struck by a car as he tried to walk across Brunswick Pike (Business Route 1) late Wednesday night (July 25), police confirmed.
The accident occurred shortly before 11:15 p.m. in the 1700 block of Brunswick Pike, near the corner of Putnam Avenue.
The pedestrian was apparently walking across Brunswick Pike, headed in the direction of the McGuinn’s Place tavern across the street, when he was struck by the passenger’s side front bumper and headlight of a car that was going northbound, according to police Sgt. Tim Drew.
The pedestrian, whose identity police were still trying to confirm as of 12:30 a.m. Thursday, was rushed via ambulance to the trauma unit at Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, Drew said.
While it was believed that the pedestrian has suffered some fractures to his leg bones, the full extent of his injuries was not immediately known.
The driver of the car, also a male, was not injured, according to Drew.
The accident is being investigated by township Police Officer James Larkin, with the assistance of Detective Tony Abarno from the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office.
Any witnesses are asked to call police at (609) 896-1111.
The northbound lanes of Brunswick Pike were closed between the Brunswick Circle and Trumbull Avenue so that police could investigate and take measurements and photographs of the accident scene.
The northbound lanes were reopened to traffic about 1:15 a.m. Thursday.
