Police Chief: No Internal Affairs Suspensions to Report

In accordance with guidelines from the New Jersey Attorney General's Office, Lawrence Township's police chief Tuesday disclosed that, during the past 11 months, no officers received internal affairs suspensions of 10 days or more.

Editor's Note: The following is a news release issued Tuesday by Lawrence Township Police Chief Daniel Posluszny.

The New Jersey Attorney General Guidelines on Internal Affairs, amended September 2011, requires each police department to periodically release a brief synopsis of all complaints where a fine or suspension in the amount of ten (10) days or more was assessed to a member of the department.

No officers of the Lawrence Township Police Department have been disciplined as a result of an internal complaint where the suspension or fine imposed was ten (10) days or more for the period of Sept. 1, 2011 to July 31, 2012.
