Elections are typically held on Tuesdays, but not this time.
The special election showndown between Newark Mayor Cory Booker and Republican Steve Lonegan to succeed the late Sen. Frank Lautenberg is Wednesday.
Polling places will be open from 6 a.m. - 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
