Lawrence Library will screen the 2009 movie, "Sin Nombre." This thriller following a Honduran teenager who reunites with her long-estranged father and attempts to emigrate to America with him and a group of undocumented immigrants in order to start a new life. Tuesday
Read and Pick at Terhune Orchards. For parents/guardians and children ages preschool to 8 years old. Combine a hands-on farm activity with a story highlighting the fruit or farm area. Register. 330 Cold Soil Road, $7. 9:30 and 11 a.m. 

Mercer County Community College presents a panel discussion on the 
150th anniversary of Emancipation Proclamation. The panel will examine the impact of the Emancipation Proclamation, from its historical significance to social and racial impact. Panelists include the Rev. Darrell Armstrong, pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church in Trenton; Dr. Diane Campbell, executive dean of student affairs; History Professor Dr. Craig Coenen; Sociology Professor Dr. Joan Goldstein; and Bursar Lucia Brown Joseph. 1200 Old Trenton Road, West Windsor, 2nd floor of the Library Building, 1-3 p.m., Free.

Wednesday
Mercer County Community College presents a Sept. 11 Commemoration today, with a tribute to the 30 county residents who died in the attacks. The guest speaker will be Sam Plumeri Jr, vice chair of the New Jersey State Parole Board and former superintendent of police and director of public safety of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, 1200 Old Trenton Road, West Windsor, Memorial Garden, 11 a.m.

Thursday
BYOB Cooking Class at Mrs. G. TV & Appliances.
