1 Killed, 6 Injured In 4-Car Crash Near NJ Walmart

A total of seven people were taken to the hospital, with one woman succumbing to her injuries, police said.

MERCER COUNTY, NJ – A woman was killed and six others injured in a four-car crash that took place near the Walmart in Hamilton Township Tuesday evening.

The crash, which happened shortly after 5:30 p.m., involved a 2014 Chrysler 300 driven by a 19-year-old from Burlington and a 2023 Toyota Camry operated by a 39-year-old from Bristol.

According to preliminary investigation, the Toyota Camry was stopped in the intersection while facing eastbound, waiting to make a left turn into the Walmart shopping center at 1750 Nottingham Way.

As the Toyota attempted the left turn into the shopping center driveway, the westbound Chrysler 300 struck the vehicle's passenger side. The force of the collision caused the Toyota to hit two additional vehicles that were stopped in the shopping center's exit lane, though these sustained only minor damage, police said.

A total of seven people were taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center with injuries. A 47-year-old woman from Hamilton succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said.

She was seated in the rear of the Toyota Camry during the impact. All other involved parties were treated and stabilized with varying degrees of injury, police said.
