Woman Killed, Man Seriously Injured In Mercer Co. House Fire
The man was found outside the house with severe burns while the woman was found inside, the Prosecutor's office said.
MERCER COUNTY, NJ — A woman was killed and a man seriously injured in a house fire that broke out in Hamilton early on Saturday morning, Mercer County Prosecutor said.
Authorities responded to an apartment in the 1700 block of Klockner Road in the early hours of Saturday, on reports of a fire.
On arrival, authorities found a 32-year-old man outside of the house suffering from severe burns to his hands and face.

Inside the house, authorities found Crystal Vasquez Tavarez in a front bedroom suffering from severe burns, the Prosecutor’s office said.
The couple, who live together in the house, were taken to the hospital where the woman was pronounced dead a short time later, MCPO said. The man remains hospitalized in serious condition.

The Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office and the Hamilton Police Division are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fire and death.
