Irish Up at Rumson St. Paddy's Parade
The first annual parade in the borough was a success
River Road, west to east, was flush with the spirit o' the Irish as the first annual Rumson St. Patrick's Day Parade made its way through town Sunday afternoon.
With a full line-up of pipe and drum bands from all over the state, scouts, businesses, municipal officials, fire and first aid companies, classic and antique cars, school bands and special interest groups, the parade ran for about an hour. We even caught a glimpse of some St. Bridget's "Nasty" Daughters who looked familiar.
The luck o' the Irish was on Rumson's side, as the weather held out and there were plenty of sights to see on and off the parade line-up.
