Lt. Colonel Ralph P. 'Pete' Pallotta Of Oceanport Dies At 66

Services for Army Signal officer will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.

Lieutenant Colonel Ralph P. Pallotta “Pete”, U.S. Army (Ret), 66 died suddenly on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015 at his home in Oceanport.

Pete was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather and an avid car enthusiast who enjoyed car activities with his children and grandchildren.

Pete was born in Newton, Massachusetts on April 2,1948, the son of the late Ralph and Gilda Ciccone Pallotta. He graduated from Natick High School, Class of 1966, and continued his education at Clarkson College where he met his wife Kate.

Pete graduated from Clarkson College, Potsdam, NY class of 1970 and was a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. Pete was a dedicated Army Signal Officer who served his country with distinction. Pete was a graduate of the Signal Officer Basic and Advanced Courses; US Army Command and General Staff College, and the Program Managers Course and was Military Acquisition Management Certified.

After retiring from the military Pete became President and CEO of PKMM Inc. an award-winning small business supporting US and coalition forces at home and abroad. His initiative and enthusiasm to do the right thing were unyielding. The country will miss his expertise, ability and total dedication to performance of duty and country.

Pete is survived by his wife of 46 years Catherine “Kate” A. Farmer Pallotta, his two children, Mark married to Patti, Matthew married to Juli; four grandchildren Dante, Brianna, Kaylee and Zoyee; Mother Gilda Pallotta, two brothers Tom married to Cheryle, Chris married to Pat, two sisters Donna married to Ed and Nicole Lathrop; Pete was predeceased by his brother Larry married to Sue. Pete also leaves behind many other loving and caring extended family members.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Wounded Warrior Project would be appreciated. A graveside service with full military honors will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a future date.
