Michael J. Wells Of Oceanport Dies At 65

Services will be held for longtime Oceanport resident on Friday and Saturday.

Michael J. Wells, 65, of Oceanport, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, surrounded by family.

Mike was born July 15, 1950 in Hackensack and lived in Oceanport for the last 36 years. He graduated from Shore Regional High School in 1968 and went on to study mathematics and play baseball at Glassboro State College. Mike has worked as a parts and service manager at RV Industries in Honeybrook, PA. In his spare time, Mike enjoyed golfing, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.

He was predeceased by his mother, Alyce Wells, and sister, Linda Clark. Surviving are his wife of 36 years, Barbara Wells; his daughter, Staci Hilsheimer and her husband, Jason; his daughter, Shannon Albergato, and her husband, Vince; his son, Jeremy Wells and his girlfriend, Victoria Schober; his father, Robert Wells; his brother, Patrick Wells and his wife, Benu; his sister, Ellen Wells; his brother-in-law, Dennis Clark; four grandchildren, Taylor, Dylan, Dominic, and Alana; his mother-in-law, Mary Elliott; and his sister-in-law, Kathy Sickler and her husband, Frank.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave., (corner of Third Ave.) in Long Branch. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 on Saturday, at Woodbine Cemetery in Oceanport.
